MEET OUR PRINCIPAL
RICHARD DAOUD SE
Self-motivated, passionate, strategic, attentive - those are just a few of the words that come to mind when we think of Richard, our Principal. With more than 14 years of experience, Richard has been at the forefront of several complex and challenging engineering assignments. When he established Melqart, Inc. in 2015, he wanted to create a place of business that serves its clients with a level of commitment and honesty that no other firm could achieve. These values are what allows Melqart to successfully complete difficult projects with confidence.
Richard graduated California State University in 2008 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Since then, he has engineered projects for all major industries - commercial, residential, industrial, and utility.

As project manager at Melqart, Rehan oversees our engineering team with a focus on delivering high quality solutions across a diverse range of projects. With a strong foundation in structural engineering, he brings both technical expertise and strategic leadership to the table. His role centres around bridging design and execution—managing teams, guiding coordination, and ensuring that every project is aligned with our core values.

Rehan graduated from University of California San Diego (UCSD) in 2015 with a M.S. in Structural Engineering. Among his standout achievements is the structural design of new terminals at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in preparation for the 2028 Olympics. He has had the privilege to work on several projects in aviation, schools, financial districts and retrofit of existing structures.
